Are there any tests I will need to take?
No. The Domestic Violence Awareness Class does not require tests. You will have the option to complete an optional no-fail knowledge assessment at the end.
How long is the Domestic Violence Awareness Class?
You are required to spend a minimum of 4 to 52 hours reviewing the material depending on which option you select. Common durations are 4, 8, 12, 16, 26, 36, and 52 hours. You do not need to accrue that time in one sitting.
What is the difference between a Domestic Violence Class and a Batterer's Intervention Program (BIP)?
A Domestic Violence Awareness Class is an educational program that covers the cycle of violence, its effects, and prevention strategies. A BIP is a longer, more intensive program specifically designed for individuals convicted of domestic violence. Our class satisfies DV education requirements but may not fulfill a specific BIP mandate. Check with your court or probation officer.
Can this class help with a protective order or restraining order requirement?
Many courts require completion of a domestic violence awareness class as a condition of a protective order. Our program provides a verifiable certificate that documents your completion, hours, and the curriculum covered. We recommend confirming acceptance with your specific court.
Will this class help with my custody case?
Family courts sometimes require domestic violence education as part of custody or visitation proceedings. Completing our program demonstrates your commitment to understanding DV dynamics and building healthier family relationships. Your certificate can be submitted as documentation to the court.
When will I receive my certificate of completion?
Certificates are instantly available for download the moment you complete the class. We will also immediately email a copy.
Is your Domestic Violence Awareness Class guaranteed to be accepted?
Yes. If for any reason our certificate is not accepted we will refund your money in full with written proof of decline.
Will I receive proof of enrollment?
Yes. An enrollment verification letter will be emailed immediately upon enrollment at no extra charge.
